about

Fungi in science was founded in October 2010 by members of the Marie Curie Initial Training Network FINSysB to improve public dissemination and to create an interface from cutting edge science to the general public. The focus of the network is the human fungal pathogen Candida albicans but the scope and intent is providing an insight into science in general and the people working in it.

We aim to communicate the passion and excitement that we have for science to others and hope to pass the message that science is not only important for a specialized audience but for everyone. We wish to engage the next generation of scientists to step forward and communicate their work and interests in science. It is our strongest belief that scientific research is central to an improvement of life for everyone.
